Heart of the Dolomites Camp
June 26 - July 4, 2010
8 nights (Saturday-Sunday)
- 8 days of riding
- Incomparable beauty & cuisine
- Fantastic daily supported and guided rides
- 5 nights Alleghe (near the base of the Passo Giau)
- 3 nights Glorenza (base of the Passo Stelvio)
We start in a small town called Alleghe, at the four star Sporthotel Europa which is more authentically Italian than most locations within the more Tyrolean Dolomites. Alleghe is the gateway to the Dolomites, situated in a small town and the hotel is located directly on the small lake. The rides from Alleghe are varied and challenging. The Passo Duran, Ceredo, Giau, and the Fedaia are all nearby. We will ride the Sella Ronda day on June 27, when all the roads of the famous 4 pass loop are closed to automobile traffic.
After 5 nights, we transfer by van -- or by bike -- to Glorenza (also known as Glurns) which is located at the base of the Passo Stelvio. Our small 3*** hotel is cycling friendly and located within the medieval walls of the town.
